After finishing the Cat and Mouse Duet, I immediately picked up The Phantom , mainly because I needed more of Gigi and Ronaldo. And let me tell you, I was not disappointed. Getting to see their love story unfold after already knowing them from Haunting Adeline and Hunting Adeline made this book so much more special. I already loved them, but this book made me fall in love with them all over again. H.D. Carlton really took The Phantom of the Opera and transformed it into something dark, emotional, and absolutely beautiful. The gothic atmosphere was incredible, and I was obsessed from the very beginning. Ronaldo completely stole my heart. He was broken, protective, and willing to do anything for the woman he loved. And Gigi? I adored her. Their chemistry, their banter, their love... everything about them just worked. Knowing who they become in the Cat and Mouse Duet made some moments hit even harder.
