BOOKISH CASTLE

  I finished Hunting Adeline and just sat there for a while. Not because I didn't know what to say. Because I had too many things to say. After loving Haunting Adeline , I went into this book expecting darkness, suspense, and obsession. What I wasn't prepared for was the emotional rollercoaster that H.D. Carlton had waiting for me. This book hurt. A lot. The first half was genuinely difficult to read at times. Watching Adeline go through everything she endured broke my heart. There were moments when I had to put the book down and take a break because the emotions felt so heavy. The fear, the pain, the trauma... it all felt incredibly real. But that's also what made Adeline such an amazing character. She wasn't just surviving. She was fighting. Watching her refuse to break despite everything thrown at her made me admire her even more than I already did in the first book.
